Gourmet Ant Bait Gel and Gourmet Liquid Ant bait can be used to control; Argentine Ants, Big headed ants, Carpenter ants, Crazy Ants, Fire ants, Odorous house ants, White footed ants, most common household ants including small black ants and sweet feeding ants. Our baits are also effective against and labeled for use against ROACHES
Using slow acting baits to control ants is the environmentally friendly way to do ant control. Ants are targeted and beneficial insects are not harmed. Beneficial insects can then attack the aphids, Mealybugs, Psyllids, and scales. Reducing these pests will reduce the ants main food source "Honeydew". Chemicals are not sprayed into the air or over the ground and there is less exposure to people, pets, and soil. The groundwater is not contaminated with pesticides.
Our baits use Boron as the active ingredient. Boron is a naturally occurring element found in most soils and is an essential micronutrient for plants. Boron is used in baits as Borax, Boric Acid or Disodium octaborate tetrahydrate (DOT). Terro Liquid Ant Killer® uses Borax at a 5.4% concentration. This is good for killing the workers, but it is too strong to be carried back to the colony to kill the queen. We use a 6% DOT to kill the workers in our gel formulation, which actually has more than twice the killing power of Terro, to give you quick control inside your home. We use a 1% DOT solution in our liquid bait, so it will act more slowly, work its' way through the colony as the ants share their food, kill the queen(s) and the colony.
Our Bait stations, Antopia®, Ant Cafe®, Bug Bar® and KM AntPro®, protect the bait from the environment, extending its' useful life. Placing bait in a bait station protects the environment from the bait.
