ERMA Approved Label - New Zealand Gourmet Ant Bait Gel. Gourmet Ant Bait Gel contains 6% Disodium Octaborate Tetrahydrate (DOT) in a bait matrix that stays where it is placed, is attractive to both Sweet and Protein feeding ants, will not become runny, even if exposed to 150º₣ for several hours. DOT is less repellent then other Boron based toxicants and is more effective at eliminating both the workers and queens in active ant colonies than many other products. Recent studies show that foraging ants take only 1/4 as much food in gel form as compared to feeding on liquids, Therefore, the dose of DOT delivered to the colony is about the same as in a 1-2% liquid bait. Gel baits tend to dry out quickly unless placed in an Ant Cafe, so small placements should not be relied upon for control.Gourmet Ant Bait Gel can be used indoors or outdoors in cracks and crevices or in Ant Café Refillable Bait Stations to quickly eliminate foragers.
